About Us

Group F1 is one of the experimental physics groups in the Research Division at DESY. The prime responsibility of the group F1 is the ZEUS experiment at the HERA ep collider. In addition to hosting the ZEUS experiment the group holds key component responsibilities for Central Data Acquisition, Offline Computing, the calorimeter and the microvertex detector. In addition the group is also actively involved in detector R&D for a future linear collider detector.

Group F1 also plays key roles in the study of heavy quark physics and diffraction at HERA.
