             Search for large extra dimensions, finite quark radius and 
                contact interactions in ep collisions at HERA

                                    Abstract


         A search for signatures of physics beyond the Standard Model 
         has been performed with neutral current deep inelastic 
         scattering events, e^+ p -> e^+ X and e^-p -> e^- X, at high Q^2 
         with the ZEUS detector at HERA using integrated luminosities
         of 112 and 16 pb^{-1}, respectively.  No significant deviations 
         from Standard Model predictions were observed.  Limits 
         were derived on the effective Planck mass scale in models with 
         large extra dimensions, on the quark charge radius and on the 
         effective mass scale in eeqq contact interactions.
