Abstract submitted to the International Europhysics Conference on High Energy Physics July 12 - 18, 2001, Budapest, Hungary _________________________________________________________________________ Measurements of jet substructure in charged current deep inelastic scattering at HERA ZEUS Collaboration Abstract The substructure of jets has been measured in charged current deep inelastic e^+ p scattering (DIS) at Q^2 > 200 GeV^2 with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 42.7 pb^{-1}. Jets were identified in the laboratory frame using the longitudinally invariant k_T-cluster algorithm. Measurements of the jet shape and subjet multiplicity for jets with transverse energies E_T^jet > 15 GeV are presented. The jets are observed to become narrower and the mean subjet multiplicity to decrease as E_T^jet increases. The results have been compared to those for jets in neutral current DIS and found to be similar. Since the jets in charged and neutral current DIS are predominantly quark initiated, the similarity in the jet substructures indicates that the pattern of parton radiation within a quark jet is to a large extent independent of the specific hard scattering process.
