Abstract submitted to the XXXth International Conference on High Energy Physics July 27 - August 2, 2000, Osaka, Japan _________________________________________________________________________ D*+- production in deep inelastic scattering ZEUS Collaboration Abstract The production of D*+-(2010) mesons in deep inelastic scattering has been studied with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of approximately 100 pb-1. The decay channel D*+ -> D0 pi+ with D0 -> K-pi+ (+c.c.) was used to identify D* mesons. Differential D* cross sections as a function of Q^2 and Bjorken x were measured for Q^2>10 GeV^2. The increase in luminosity with respect to previous measurements allows an extension of the kinematic range to larger Q^2 and x. The data are compared to NLO QCD calculations and to several LO Monte Carlo models.
