Abstract submitted to the XXXth International Conference on High Energy Physics July 27 - August 2, 2000, Osaka, Japan _________________________________________________________________________ Prompt photon measurements in photoproduction at HERA ZEUS Collaboration Abstract The production of prompt photons has been measured with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 37 pb-1. Inclusive cross sections as a function of photon pseudorapidity and transverse energy are compared with leading-order Monte Carlo models and with parton-level NLO QCD calculations. A study of the intrinsic parton transverse momentum, k_T, in the proton has been performed using the kinematical properties of events with a measured jet as well as a prompt photon. The results are compared with earlier high-energy proton-scattering measurements which had suggested unexpectedly high values of parton k_T in the proton.
